About

Specialty Docket Services provides administrative oversight of the specialty dockets in Virginia including technical assistance, budget management, monitoring compliance and evaluation. Specialty Dockets refer to specialized court dockets, established under Rule 1:25 of the Supreme Court of Virginia, within the existing structure of Virginia's circuit and district court system offering judicial monitoring of intensive treatment, supervision, and remediation integral to case disposition.

  • Behavioral Health Dockets (BHD)
    Specialized criminal court dockets within the existing structure of Virginia's court system that enable the judiciary to manage its workload more efficiently.
  • Drug Treatment Court Dockets (DTC)
    Specialized court dockets within the existing structure of Virginia's court system offering judicial monitoring of intensive treatment and strict supervision of criminal justice involved individuals in drug and drug-related cases.
  • Veterans Treatment Dockets (VTD)
    Offer eligible defendants who are veterans of the armed services with substance use disorder or mental illness a specialized criminal specialty docket that is coordinated with specialized services for veterans.
